FAQ
Where and when does the event take place?
The Airexpo event will take place on the Saturday, May 9th, 2026, at the Muret-Lherm airfield, D23d, Lherm.
We strongly encourage you to come on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday of the same week to help us set up and take down equipment. Notice that Friday, May 8th is a public holiday!
On the Saturday of the event, the meeting time is early in the morning!
Who can be a volunteer?
Everyone can be a volunteer, student or not!
You must only be 16 years old at the time of the meeting. If you are a minor, you will need to have your parents fill out the parental responsibility waiver and join it by mail to : candidat.benevole2026@airexpo.org.
We don't require any specific aeronautical knowledge, just your motivation!

Why volunteer at Airexpo?
Airexpo is a must-see event, the third largest air show in France and the only one in the world organized by students, especially since this year marks the 40th edition! You will see exceptional aerial performances. Your participation as a volunteer will be very rewarding both personally and professionally.
How do I get to the air show?
Car parking will be available. A carpooling service will be set up for volunteers, so please indicate if you are interested when you register.
How will meals be handled on the day of the air show?
We will provide breakfast and lunch. We will offer special meals according to your dietary requirements (vegetarian, for example). This applies throughout the week for volunteers who would like to come and help us before and after the air show with setting up and dismantling.
Will I have free time to see the planes?
Rest periods will be scheduled. You will be able to enjoy the show!
Do I need to have specific skills in security or catering?
No. We are recruiting volunteers of all profiles. However, if you do have specific skills, please let us know when you register.
Can I volunteer with a group of friends?
Of course! We will do our best to assign you to the same positions on the day of the event so that you can enjoy it together (if this is not possible, you will still be able to meet up during your breaks!).
What should we bring with us on the day of the event?
A cap, sunglasses, sunscreen, water, and comfortable shoes! It is often hot at this time of year, the airfield offers little protection from the sun, and you will likely be walking throughout the day to reach your various positions, so be prepared. Water will be available on site if you need it.
What souvenirs will I have of the event and my involvement?
At the end of the day, you will receive some goodies to thank you for your presence and support, and you can take home the T-shirt you will be given at the start of the day. There will also be an Airexpo store on the day of the event.
